Mix-master bogkart more like it?

Honestly what is the story with the BSL proponents, in the quest to prove they're right they willingly put all and sundry at risk in the name of "Public Safety Advocacy"

First up we have Squicky Smith, she cruises around in her car shooting a video exposing her total ignorance on dog breed related matters and her bias against pitbulls, there's even a term for it now, they're calling it "BREEDISM"

Breedism
Breedism is to judge a dog based on its breed and not on it's own history, behavior, or personality. Breedism is equal to racism, just people to animals and not people to people. Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) is a form of Breedism in our own Government.

They regularly talk and even promote the killing of pitbulls by any means possible the most popular being "anti-freeze" as promoted by Mix-master Bogart aka, the founder of a supposed non-profit public safety organisation which is actually nothing more then a witch hunt, His son was killed by his babysitters "boxer mixes" (according to vet reports, right up until the day of the tragedy and then suddenly they were "pitbull mixes)..

And that's not the worst of it he goes on to tell a 12 year old to act in-appropriately with her dog,  smear yourself with peanut butter for your pitbull and I've cleaned that up see what he actually said here....

Bsl even if it did work would only stop a % of the deaths we want to stop them all, stop the witch hunt DBO, DF's.

The problem is way bigger then being a breed problem we need owner specific legislation that doesn't ignore the victims of non fighting breed dogs.

Oh and FYI all the deaths involving non fighting breed type dogs sort of blows a huge hole in your whole DNA speel?

Letter to the Ignorant

ZOMBIESANDDOGS
My dog cares about a lot of things in life. He cares if he can get the best spot on the bed surrounded by pillows. He cares if he can hide his treat before Gustavo (our other dog) can steal it from him. He cares about my oldest daughter so much that he sits by the window at 3:15 pm Monday through Friday as he waits for her to get home from school and I’m always amazed at the unwavering and unconditional dedication, trust and love that he shares willingly with our family.

Now, my Scrappy isn’t as imposing as your 97 lb. full blooded golden retriever. I’m pretty sure he’s 40 lbs. soaking wet and his “lineage” is a mix and mash of many- kind of like his owners. He came from a horrible environment- I mean, can you imagine how it would have felt being crammed into a small cat travelling crate all day? But like your dog, the very beginning of his life didn’t define what kind of dog he was going to be.
I like to think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me, our big eared black bat dog is breath taking. There isn’t a macho bone in his body, for Pete’s sake- he prances. I will admit, unlike your dog, my Scrappy McScraptser is a bit cowardly. We have quite the bullish pack of pigeons that sometimes land in our large backyard and when they do, our poor Scrappy is usually bullied from his favorite sun spot but THANKFULLY our macho 20 lb. chi/poodle/whatever mix takes charge and runs those bastards right off because that’s what family do, right?

I get it- you must be running out of things to write about and figure bashing a breed of dog will bring a tiny bit of credibility to your name, but fortunately- you failed. Which is what usually happens when you attempt to spread hate. I hate to inform you of this, but my dog was never bred & born to fight, just like your dog obviously wasn’t bred to be a great show dog, especially since you found him dumped in a shelter. Although, I do know dogs like mine that were “bred & born” to fight and they have evolved into the amazing dogs that they are today. I mean, the dogs recued from Michael Vicks literally destroys your whole hate filled theory about these dogs.
I’m sorry you had a horrible experience at a dog park, I myself do not take my dogs since our Gustavo was attacked golden retriever- a golden retriever much like yours. A golden retriever who just wanted to play ball…. with Gustavo’s ball. I feel the pain at paying all of the medical bills because of irresponsible owners, it sucks. I remember  the pain Gustavo went through- the moments thinking he would never make it out of surgery. I remember thinking as I punched, kicked and pryed that pure bred golden retriever that the POS was going to kill him- screaming at the dog owner who stood there with her spilt starbucks latte at her feet.

Maybe I should as you David, why do you keep a breed of dog that can brutally maul, fight, maim and kill? It’s absolutely your right to own a breed that almost killed my Gustavo- but since we are judging an entire breed for the actions of a few, I would ask that you keep your full bloodied Golden Retriever Champ at home. All Gustavo wanted to do was play ball with his buddies.

I watch parents walk out of the pharmacy without their childrens meds because they can't afford them & our vets struggle with medical bills & have trouble getting appointments at the VA--- WTH is wrong with this world! This dog should have been humanely euthanized right after the attack- no drama- end of story.

    UPDATE

    The Court has approved Mickey to move to a new private facility.

    MASH has been a great home to Mickey over the past year, however given Mickey's recent diagnosis, it was determined that a private facility, where he could receive 24 hour care, would be better.

    Mickey will have a similar size room, but the room is much nicer and was specifically designed for a dog in long term boarding. Mickey will have windows in his room, so he will be able to see outside. Mickey's new room is very quite and, however soft music is played in the background during daytime hours. Also, Mickey will have flat screen TV in his room with Dog TV. Finally, as this is a private facility part of Mickey's boarding fees include staff taking Mickey out of his room a minimum of 4 times a day for potty breaks, and playtime. The play area is a large inside area with state of the art artificial turf and drainage. As we said MASH is a great place, but the change to Mickey's living conditions will be like upgrading from Motel 6 to the Ritz Carlton.

    Until the move is completed Mickey Cam will be down, however once the move is done, we anticipate Mickey Cam to be up and running again shortly thereafter.

    The facility Mickey is very secure, as such, Mickey will not be allowed public visitors unfortunately. However, John and Annie will continue to visit Mickey.

    The cost of this facility, though expensive, has already been covered. We are asking for no monetary donations at this time.

    We anticipate Mickey moving next week after the Holiday weekend.

    The facility Mickey will be going to has not been named, nor will it be named. However, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mickey's Attorney John Schill.

    At this time we would like to thank Sheriff Joe and MASH for being a great home to Mickey over the past year!

Then they'd be able to see why some people are against this, and why society should be concentraiting on helping dogs that would be suitible for companions for people & families. Not some preditory dog that preys on puppies & children.

A page that concentrates on the fact that dogs like this one should be humanly euthanized, to help make room for dogs that belong in society. Let dogs like this one here go. It killed a puppy and almost put a 4 year old boy in his grave.

  • Mia Johnson Nancy Perdue it would not matter if they got mauled. I don't know how many times I read about a victim still defending pit bulls. They are so locked in to their beliefs even an attack by their own pet won't change them. It is really weird.

  • Nancy Perdue Mia Johnson Yes you are right about that. I once read this thing someone shared called Confessions of a Pit Nutter. One of the facts that it lead to was even though these nuts have experinced first hand of what these dogs are, they still choose to own them.

  • Nancy Perdue I veiwed the Facebook page for this dog and the stupidity on there is too much for a mind in reality & common sense to bare. One of the things I liked was the owner of the page was telling some of the fans that it had been hacked into and deleted. Haha I'd give whoever deleted that stupid ass pit nutter page a metal of honor for their intellegnce. Oh and bravery! smile emoticon
