It’s not an epidemic

Since these guys completely ignored the child that was killed by a Malamute a week or so ago..but can’t stop obsessing over children killed by a pit bull (and the one named Mickey appears to be a “resident dog” who lived outside and wasn’t actually cared for properly) I find this post disturbing.

The reason this doesn’t always make headline news is because, while incredibly sad, it’s not an epidemic.
While the attacks that you are obsessing over happened (and the one by the malamute) this also happened:
MANY more children are dying from their own parents and from accidents than from dogs. As we’ve had to stress over and over and over, you people do not own some special copyright on grief.
Children die every single day for thousands of reasons, and dog attacks are not even a blip on the planet. To you they are because you people live, eat and breathe it. But it’s not that common, it’s not an epidemic and all you do is continue to victimize the kids who do survive by telling them how different they are, how “mutilated and mauled” they are. How imperfect they are now.
It’s sad. It’s damn near more tragic than what actually happened to them.
